Life Groups at Northside
You do not have to feel alone or isolated in this challenging time. Connecting with a Life Group is a great way to foster relationships while maintaining social distancing. Let us help you find somewhere to be supported and cared for through community.
What does a Life Group Look like right now?
There are a larger number of online video call platforms. Several of our groups have elected to meet online, and they primarily use Jitsi Meet or Zoom to conduct their online gatherings. Other groups have resumed in-person gatherings. These gatherings are taking place in locations that allow for 6 feet of social distancing as you share and pray together. In either case, your group leader will determine the day, time, location of the meeting, and communicate those details with you.
How are Life Groups doing Bible Studies?
Groups are primarily using RightNow Media for their Bible Studies during this time. RightNow Media is an online video curriculum platform, and all of our group members are given access upon request. Group members are requested to watch the video curriculum ahead of time.
What does it look like to host a Life Group?
You will be contacted by the Life Groups Ministry team for an orientation and training. The training will include an online video call with our Life Groups Pastor, Elliott Medlen. He will go over the different online platforms (if you choose to host your group online) and how to set up a call on them. You will also be given tips for facilitating discussion, access to RightNow Media, and an opportunity to join an upcoming Life Group gathering to see what it looks like for yourself! Finally, invite some friends to connect with you in-person or from the comfort of their own home!
